Iranian VLCC released from Jeddah (KSA) & ITF solidarity with Mt Happiness1 crew

Finally iranian VLCC which has ceased at Jeddah port, released on Saturday (20th July 2019)

As per Owner statement Mt Happiness1 which three month ago due to technical problems in engine room transferred to Jeddah port, finally commenced her journey toward iran by operation.
Notwithstanding technical problem has been rectified Mt Happiness1 forced to stay at port because of refusing port authority to issue port clearance and movement permit and now
She is underway toward home.

Iranian Merchant Mariners Syndicate (IMMS) as sole Seafarers supportive NGO in iran is proud that in this case tried its best with maximum capacities and efforts through ITF in IMO & ILO in accompany with all responsible organization for repatriation of seafarers.

The International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) which connecting trade unions from 147 and as voice for 18.5 million working men and women across the world, strongly stated their support to the crew and continuously tried so that the crew can soon arrive home safely to their loved ones.

Following sentences is part of ITF message:

“Please convey our solidarity to the crew and assure them that we are working to get them home.”
